If Geo Synthesizer is not starting properly, try reinstalling the application. The easiest way to do this is to delete the app from your device and re-download it from the App Store. You will not be double-charged by Apple for this.
Geo Synthesizer is a Universal iOS application. It runs on iOS 4.2 and higher on the 3rd- and 4th-generation iPod touch, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, and iPad 2. It does not run on the 1st- or 2nd-generation iPod touch, original iPhone, or iPhone 3G. Geo Synthesizer requires iOS 4.2 or higher.
Geo Synthesizer supports MIDI output. If you have any problems getting MIDI working, please let us know.
Geo Synthesizer does not support the original Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer. Line 6 has replaced this product with the MIDI Mobilizer II, which supports Core MIDI. Core MIDI is the MIDI technology that has long been in use on Mac OS X and was brought to iOS in iOS 4.2. Geo Synthesizer can be used with all Core MIDI interfaces, including the iConnect MIDI, the iRig MIDI, and the Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer II. On the iPad, Geo Synthesizer can also be used with appropriate MIDI devices through the Apple Camera Connection Kit.
The Alesis iO Dock also supports Core MIDI. We have extensively tested the iO Dock with Geo Synthesizer, and we have found that the iO Dock consistently corrupts MIDI messages. This problem is also experienced by users of other iOS apps. If you are using the iO Dock and you are experiencing problems with Geo Synthesizer, please download the firmware update (in the Docs & Downloads tab on this page).
